Felt Hoop: Baby Yoda & Mudhorn Signet

I can’t believe it’s already been a week since The Mandalorian Season 2 finale. I have lots of thoughts about that finale.

Why can’t we introduce new Jedis? Does it always need to be the same ones? Did anyone else get a Terminator vibe from the Dark Troopers? Anyways…I don’t want to spoil the finale for anyone so I’ll just internalize those thoughts for a year until we have a new season. In the meantime to cope with The Mandalorian being over I created these two felt hoops – Grogu and the Mudhorn signet with some Aurebesh. Does anyone know what it says? I’ll place the translation in the image’s caption 🙂 If you want to create your own phrases in Aurebesh you can use the free translator I used here.

Final Felt Hoops

It was a tricky trial and error process with Grogu. At first the eyes were simply on top of the green felt, but it looked off. After some pondering over a cup of tea I decided to add a second layer of green on top of the black felt to add more depth. This worked out well because it also gave the ears more character and those ears are so expressive on the show. Added a little orangey-red pastel chalk in the ear folds and voilà!

Do you have a favorite? Or thoughts on the finale? Write a comment below, I’d love to hear from you!

Stay crafty,

Laura
